Things My Kids Asked Me To Buy Today (but didn't get)

1. Lucky Charms
2. a 32 ounce milkshake
3. lip gloss
4. smellable magic markers
5. a sweater
6. the latest Bop magazine
7. cat toys

When I told them they were welcome to use their own money (except for the milkshake because 32 ounces is roughly the size of their head), they declined.

What would they rather spend their own money on?

Hey, I can drink a 32-ounce milkshake on a hot summer day, and Bug's head is about the same size as mine. (So is her tongue, but that's another story.) Of course, my stomach is considerably larger than hers. Not something I'm proud to report.

It is amazing how many things do not change with new generations of Mom's. My mother use to say the very same thing to her four children. If the girls saw a dress or skirt they just "LOVED!" always, the respond was, "if you like it that much, we can stop by the fabric store and you can make it!" :-( It just was not fair and it was mean :-)

Now, I can never remember saying anything like that to Daddy Shortbread ;-)))) Ouch!!!!! I think my nose just grew an inch:-(
