Isn't This How Everyone Reads?

Bug is determined to achieve her straddle split this year in her classical ballet technique class, so this is her preferred method of stretching without getting bored.

After each chapter, she sits up and pushes the stretch for awhile:
Then back to reading.

Some weird kid, huh?

Okay. That is weird. Cute, but weird.

I think I felt something crack just looking at that. Getting old really bites.

I could never do that, even when I was young.

She's multitasking! What a clever girl! And flexible too;)

No that's dedication! I used to read upside down in a chair with my head hanging off the edge. Luckily, I've outgrown that.

Ooh, so that is how it is down. I never mastered that prosition and now at my age, I wouldn't even think of trying it again :-) Good job Bug!

I think that's a clever way to work on her stretch! I'd have to have a pillow under my head, though. Glad to see Bug is enjoying the fuzzy pajama bottoms and socks I sent her. They looked and felt really cozy for winter weather.

I wish I could read that way.

She is quite agile! If I tried, I would break my wishbone. ;-)

What a great idea. When my daughter was working on her splits for cheer she would do them on every commercial if she was watching TV.

I second smalltownmom!

That's exactly how I have been doing my homework in between my many dance classes for like the past six or seven years! I barely had a ninety degree split when I started, and now I can go all the way :) I love me some multitasking
