Elementary Deduction, Watson

I returned from shopping this morning to find a small Christmas cookie (previously on a plate on the counter) with one small bite out of it in the middle of my kitchen floor. Proceeding into my bedroom, I found Mittens curled up sleeping inside the suitcase lying empty on my bed.

From this I can only deduce that she is already suffering pre-trip separation anxiety and has been indulging in some emotional eating.

When I get lonely, there is no substitute for a piece of chocolate in whatever form it comes. After I eat it, I feel so much better and all is well with the world :-)I guess cats are a lot like humans. Go Mittens, they will be gone for two weeks, the place is all yours :-)

I'm with Grandma. Nothing replaces food (especially chocolate) for combatting lonliness...or celebration...or boredom...or

Mittens might weigh 50 pounds by the time you all get back home! :)
