Bear announced this morning that she doesn't like SYRUP anymore, and is really tired of cereal. Excuse me, Pod People? Could I have my kid back now? You know, the one that's basically survived on cereal since she was three?
Situation fixed! Bear was protesting the a brand switch (inadvertantly made by Daddy Shortbread the Endlessly Clueless Shopper) in syrup. I told her I went on the internet (LIE) and found out that the only difference between the two syrups was that the new one had slightly more butter. This morning we had waffles, and she happily ate them with the new syrup. Moral: Lie to your children to make your life easier.

What healthy alternative has she suggested for breakfast?
I am not fond of syrup either, but I am not a picky eater :-) Daddy Shortbread use to be a picky eater when he was Bear's age and look at him now ;-)

You are good mother! I ditto the necessity for little white lies for keeping ones sanity :-)
